Its hot and smokey in the valley, I say go to the hills. I was recently treated to a weekend away in Tahoe❤️. If you travel it’s important to research who follows the rules and who enforces them.
I’ve found the Ritz is as safe a place as any to hole away close to nature and take a break from our prolonged break. I also prefer to drive (or to be driven even better!).

Not only welcome but well behaved dogs can be spotted enjoying their stay! Leashes help with social distance.
If you’d like to take a drive north you can eat amazing food next to a raging river (where the rafts complete their day- fun to watch and better to experience!).
If you need some adventure try a chair lift in the summer and a mountain bike downhill. Also head to Northstar for a scenic lift ride- opens nightly at 5pm in the cool of the eve.
